We have a course outline that you may want to download and refer to as a guide throughout the course.
I shall support you as you go through this 3-week course.
Course Overview
Welcome to this course where you will learn about the fundamentals of mini-micro grid systems, design, and sizing methodology of mini-micro grids, the operation and management concepts related to their applications such as servicing and maintenance strategies.
Course description
This course immerses you in the design environment of a mini-grid project. It presents the context of electrification and the challenges for mini-grids in Africa, then introduces the concept and process of energy planning. This course also presents the techniques of data collection and site selection, details the sizing methodologies of mini-grids (solar, hydro, wind, hybrid), the appropriate operation and maintenance techniques. This course, focused on decentralized approach of electrification, is designed to increase your knowledge in three particular steps for deploying energy Mini-grids in Africa including Data collection, Technical Design, Operation and maintenance.
Duration
